There are a number of things you can add to your everyday life to keep your body in good health:
. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
. Cut out, or at least cut down on, the amount of tea, coffee, cola and other sugary fizzy drinks you drink. Opt for fruit juices and herbal teas instead.

. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, go organic if you can, and if not, thoroughly wash everything. Eat at least five different portions per day.
. Cut down on dairy products and red meat.
. Don't fry your food. This can increase the carcinogen in food. Instead, bake, boil or grill.
. Each morning have a glass of warm water with some freshly squeezed lemon juice.
. Skin brush each day. If you do not have the time to do it daily, use a loofah, in the shower, to help exfoliate and clear away toxins.
. Cut down on alcohol. If you can avoid it altogether then do so.
. Do some gentle stretching exercices each morning.
. Cut out all junk food.
. Breathe properly.
. Buy a book on Tai Chi or Yoga and learn some of the moves. Perform these daily to help your posture and keep you supple and flexible, relaxed and focused.
. Take a few minutes out of your day to sit in a quiet room to meditate, or at least just shut your eyes and relax. If you have a quiet place at work, just go and sit and calm your body and mind.
. Drink a cup of soothing camomile tea an hour before bedtime to help you to sleep. A warm bath with some essential oils will also help you sleep soundly.
. For one day each week you could eat just raw fruit, vegetables and fruit juice, and drink just water and herbal teas. This will give your body another chance to repair and renew itself.
The results of all these efforts will not go unnoticed. You will notice an improvement in your skin, hair and eyes. You will have bags of energy, less negative stress, and you will feel alive!
The long-term effects can be even better: You should find you have fewer colds and infections. Your stress levels should be reduced, because you are dealing with problems more effectively and positively. Your health may improve and any aches and pains should lessen. A body through detox should also be less susceptible to chronic conditions such as cancer; high blood pressure and arthritis.

For such small and easy changes to your life, the rewards are many and great.
Perhaps most importantly, a revitalised immune system will allow us to lead a healthier life.
