Reiki Intelligent Energy
Reiki is often described as an intelligent energy that knows where it needs to go. While this is accepted, one of the aims of a Reiki practicioner is still to get his hands as close as possible to the areas it is needed.
The Universe works to laws (like gravity) and the way Reiki acts is also subject to these laws.
A good way to understanding Reiki as a form of energy is to consider how other types of energy act:
CONVENCTION:
The transfer of heat (energy) by the actual movement of the warmed matter. Convenction is the transfer of heat energy in a gas or liquid by movement of currents (it can also happen in some solids, like sand). The heat moves with the fluid.
CONDUCTION:
The transfer of energy through matter from particle to particle. It is the transfer and distribution of heat energy from atom to atom within a substance.
RADIATION:
Electromagnetic waves that directly transport ENERGY through space. Sunlight is a form a radiation that is radiated through space to our planet without the aid of fluids or solids. The energy travels through nothingness!
REIKI
Reiki energy is received from the practicioner and spread through the client body, e.g. through the skin or along meridians (energy channels in the body also used in acupuncture).
Using Distance Reiki is a good example comparing with Radiation.
